Black Lives Matter Protest in Madera, CA.

On Friday June 5th, 2020 the Madera, California Black Student Union organized a peaceful protest that began at John Adams Elementary School. The protest was fresh off the heels of the murder of George Floyd at the hands of police. Following a series of heart wrenching speeches delivered by students Mary Idowu and Jeremiah Wright at John Adams, was a half mile march to Town & Country Park. The Madera Police Department were present for the entire demonstration to demonstrate their solidarity with the black community in Madera. All photographs taken by of Marco Rosas, video here.
